The attire of a wealthy young man consists of a loose, long-sleeved shirt made from satin, which is topped by a velvet doublet. The trousers are wide and are made from rich fabric and tucked into the ichigi. A silk sash is used to belt the waist, and an embroidered velvet kalyapush is worn on the head.
The traditional clothing of the Tatars, as it developed in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries, represents a unique and distinctive aspect of their material culture.
Based on materials collected through long-term observation, the artist L.L. Speranskaya graphically recreated the costume of Tatars in her artwork.
