This issue is dedicated to the bicentenary of Nikolai Gogol. The theme of his work organically continues a discussion on religion in literature that was started in a previous issue of the magazine. Gogol can be viewed not only as a great writer of Russian literature, but also as a profound thinker who was inspired by the history of various religions, including Islam.
In this issue, readers will find the conclusion of N. Ebrahimi’s novel “Three Views on a Man Who Came from the Unknown”, R. Bekkin’s novel "The Death of a Graduate Student", Ali Reza’s story “Teacher”, and other works. One can discover here some lesser-known to Russian readers contemporary Saudi poets, such as Muhammed Hasan Awwad, Muhammad Hasan Faji, Ibrahim al-Hussein, Latifa Qari, and Muhammad al-Subaiti, and others.
