The exhibition of Baki Urmanche, the founder of the fine arts of Tatarstan, reflects a key feature of the master's work: his pieces organically combine the traditions of folk decorative and applied arts with a deep philosophical understanding of the spiritual roots of Tatar culture. The paintings, sculptures, and decorative and applied art objects presented at the exhibition are distinguished by their characteristic "sunny palette" and lyrical expressiveness. Within them, the artist's memories of his native land, the traditions of his ancestors, and images of folk life come alive.
The exposition allows visitors to form a comprehensive impression of the artist's legacy – from easel painting and sculpture to his pedagogical work, which included the revival of artistic ceramics in Kazan and the founding of the sculpture department in Tashkent.
The exhibition features archival documents, photographs, and a digital interactive table with a selection of Baki Urmanche's graphic works dedicated to the outstanding Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay, allowing visitors to explore the artist's illustrative heritage in detail.
The exhibition was organized with the participation of 12 scientific and cultural institutions and private collectors.
