Hamid Savkuev. Painting. Drawing. Sculpture

In May 2009, the "New Ark" exhibition of the artist Hamid Savkuev opened at the Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Then, from July 7 to September 6, a solo exhibition of the artist, organized by the Mardjani Foundation, was held at the State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow.

For the first time, the exhibition fully introduced Moscow audiences to the work of this St. Petersburg artist, a representative of the St. Petersburg academic school. It featured about 100 works, including paintings, graphic illustrations for the Nart epic, and sculptures.

An exhibition catalogue was published with the participation of the Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, the State Museum of Oriental Art, and the Mardjani Foundation.
