Russian Art. The 20th Century. Research and Publications. Volume 3

This collection is the third in the series Russian Art. The 20th Century. It continues the examination of little-studied or tendentiously interpreted phenomena in our art of the past century. As in the first two collections, the range of research covers the entire 20th century: the volume includes articles on Yu. Annenkov, A. Yavlensky, I. Mashkov, A. Deineka, and many others. Alongside these are materials analysing phenomena of the more recent past. The collection contains a comprehensive study, the first of its kind in Russian, of the early work of P. Chelishchev, a fundamental text on the Stenberg brothers, and a substantial body of entirely new research on the work of K. Petrov-Vodkin. Among the publications, the memoirs of V. Falileev will undoubtedly attract particular attention.
