The image on the Shamail from the collection of the Mardjani Foundation depicts the wonders of early 20th-century Ottoman technology in Edirne, including flying cars, hot air balloons (Tatar: һава – balloons), a fleet of airships (Tatar: һава флуты), steamships, a railway, and a telegraph line. Explanatory inscriptions are provided in the Tatar language next to each item, providing information about street names and mosques, including the Selimiye Mosque, the Eski Jami Mosque, and the Sultan Bayezid Mosque, which were constructed by the renowned architect Sinan between 1569 and 1575.
